A 56-year-old man in Brampton faced impaired driving charges for the third time in just over a year after concerned citizens alerted authorities through 911 calls.
The incident occurred around noon on Tuesday in the vicinity of Rutherford Road and Steeles Avenue, where police were notified about a cube van being driven erratically.
Upon arrival, police officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver to be significantly over the legal alcohol limit, blowing four times above it. This marks the third occasion within a span of 14 months that this individual has been charged with impaired driving, according to confirmation from investigators by 680 News Radio Toronto.
Additionally, it was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license, having lost it due to previous infractions.

In response to the news, one interviewed individual expressed dismay, stating, “That’s ridiculous. You’re just stupid. That tells you there is something wrong with the legal system. This guy should have no licence and should be taken off the road.”
The accused, whose identity was not disclosed, was released from custody pending a court appearance at a later date.
