TORONTO: The second annual Immigrant Business Expo at the Metro Hall in Toronto saw a large turn out, with visitors thronging stalls of various vendors of goods and services.
A special guest at the event was Toronto Mayor John Tory who tweeted: “Welcomed new immigrants to the second annual Immigrant Business Expo. Great event providing workshops and small business clinics to assist new immigrant and refugee business owners.”
Spokesperson Gerard Keledjian said: “We look forward to another fantastic expo in 2018, but in the meantime we’ll be focusing on organizing smaller events and meetups.

The expo – for which admission was free – was aimed at providing information to new and immigrant entrepreneurs to start, grow and manage small businesses in Canada,
Attendees networked with business experts and learnt about local organizations, support services and government assistance programs . There were also several business workshops and special presentations. The Expo was organized by New Canadians TV in collaboration with the City of Toronto, including the Toronto Public Library.
