Tesla has recently announced the launch of its latest vehicle, the Model 3 Performance, which now boasts an impressive 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of just 2.9 seconds. This release comes after a period filled with speculation, prototype sightings, and leaks.
The new Model 3 Performance builds on last year’s Model 3 refresh but introduces several upgrades that set it apart from its predecessors. Notably, it includes a variety of physical modifications such as a new front lip and rear diffuser, giving it a more aggressive aesthetic.
In terms of performance, Tesla has equipped the car with its most powerful Performance drive unit yet, allowing the vehicle to produce over 500 horsepower. The newly integrated Track Mode enhances the driving experience by allowing drivers to adjust the suspension, chassis, and powertrain settings to their preferences for optimal control and stability on the racetrack.
The car also features significant improvements in safety and comfort, with the addition of an adaptive damping system designed to keep the car stable at high speeds and during sharp turns. Furthermore, it includes larger brake calipers for improved stopping power.
Interior updates are also part of the new package, including sports seats, a rear screen, and customizable ambient lighting, subtly distinguishing it from other Model 3 versions.
Starting at $53,000 before incentives, and with an EPA range of 296 miles per charge, the new Model 3 Performance is designed for both speed enthusiasts and daily drivers looking for a high-performance electric vehicle.
