A man is now in police custody following alleged assaults on three individuals at a Mississauga plaza. On Tuesday, around 4 p.m., Meadowvale Town Center became the site of an incident where a woman reported being aggressively approached by an unknown man.
According to reports, the suspect is accused of making unwelcome sexual advances towards the woman, prompting intervention from restaurant staff. Subsequently, the suspect received a notice prohibiting him from entering Meadowvale Tale Center for one year.
Approximately two hours later, the same suspect reportedly returned to the plaza and attempted to steal a bottle of alcohol from a restaurant. During the process of being asked to leave, he engaged in a confrontation with staff and allegedly assaulted two female employees.
Fortunately, there were no physical injuries reported in either of these incidents. Police officers swiftly arrived at the scene and took the 21-year-old suspect, Oloruntimilehin Ojeikere, into custody. Ojeikere now faces three charges, including sexual assault and two counts of assault.
Investigations have also linked Ojeikere to similar cases in British Columbia and other parts of Ontario. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
