The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society have announced a province-wide adoption event with reduced adoption fees scheduled for May 31st and June 1st.
Dawn Lyons, the manager of the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Animal Centre, expressed concern over the increasing number of animals being housed in their centres for extended periods. To address this issue, the organization aims to find loving homes for as many animals as possible during this adoption event, thereby creating space to accommodate more animals in need.
Adoption fees at the 12 animal centre locations across Ontario will be reduced by 20%, encouraging individuals to welcome a new furry friend into their lives.
Animals adopted from the OSPCA come with essential services, including spaying or neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and even food from Royal Canin to facilitate a smooth transition into their new homes.
Those interested in adopting can view available animals on the OSPCA website at ontariospca.ca/adopt. Additionally, monetary donations to support the OSPCA’s efforts can be made at ontariospca.ca/donate.
