the victim was exiting a blue BMW X5 in a parking lot when a white SUV parked behind them
three male suspects wearing all black clothing and masks exited the white SUV and approached the BMW X5
the suspects demanded the car keys and one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim
the suspects obtained the car keys and both vehicles left the parking lot
no injuries were sustained by the victims

on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area
four male suspects exited a gray sedan and approached the owner of a 2021 white Lamborghini Urus at a gas station

On Friday, April 12, 2024, at approximately 10:27 p.m., officers conducted a stolen vehicle investigation in the Islington Avenue and Steeles Avenue West area.
It is alleged that:
officers on Islington Avenue drove by a white Lamborghini Urus and were alerted by their Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) that it was a stolen vehicle
officers followed the Lamborghini to a parking lot at Barmac Drive where the driver of the vehicle exited and entered an establishment
while conducting surveillance on the Lamborghini, officers then observed a BMW X5 arrive at the same parking lot, the same vehicle involved in the carjacking on April 6
when the BMW attempted to leave the area, officers move in to effect arrests
the driver reversed up a hill, smashing into several police vehicles while trying to evade arrest, narrowly missing officers (video available upon request)
even when boxed in by police vehicles, the driver refused to comply with officers’ demands and again attempted to flee
officers arrested all three occupants in the vehicle
